The Well Water Dual Tank uses Katalox Light, a premium German-engineered filtration media, in the first tank to oxidize and filter iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, and sediment. The second tank handles softening through ion exchange. Both tanks backflush automatically.

The second tank handles ion exchange softening, removing calcium and magnesium so appliances, plumbing, and fixtures are protected from hardness.
